Sight vs Site vs Cite- What is the Difference?

Homophones are words that have the same pronunciations but different meanings, spellings and orgins.  As such, Sight/Site/Cite are considered to be homophones.

What is the difference?

Sight:  (noun/verb) The abiliy to see. 

Eg. Michael loss his sight last year.

Site: (noun) a place where something is, was, or will be built, or where something happened, is happening, or will happen

Eg. The National Arena is a vaccination site.

Cite: (verb) to mention something as proof for a theory or as a reason why something has happened

Eg.  This project requires you to cite your sources on the reference page.
